Podiatric Physician and Surgeon

Dr. Scruggs is a native of both University City, Missouri (a small suburb just outside St. Louis) and East St. Louis, Illinois. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology/Pre-Medicine from Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee, where he was a member of the world renowned Fisk Jubilee Singers. In 2002, Dr. Scruggs received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio.

Dr. Scruggs completed a Podiatric Orthopedic Residency and a Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency at Howard University Hospital. While there he served as Chief Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Resident, and in his final year became Howard's first resident Podiatric physician to be elected House Staff Association President.

In his spare time. Dr. Scruggs travels the globe searching for new and innovative ways to improve upon podiatric care. Dr. Scruggs also works tirelessly in various communities and is a Life Member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

Dr. Scruggs is board-certified in Foot and Ankle Surgery and Primary Care in Podiatric Medicine by the American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry.
